StarCraft is Blizzard's real-time
strategy game of galactic conflict between three different species on the edge
of known space. As the military leader for your people, you must gather the
resources you need to raise a military force capable of dominating your enemies.
The biggest difference is that StarCraft features three main species
that you can control, each of which has unique units, buildings, and abilities.
Other key features include native Win95 support, an isometric viewpoint, and
Internet play through Battle.net. For more information, check out the StarCraft
Page.
The Macintosh version is currently available.
The Win95/98/NT demo version is located here.

Yes to all.
StarCraft runs in SVGA mode at 640x480, 256-color. We chose this
resolution to provide the best combination of performance, compatibility, and
appearance. Allowing multiple resolutions would give too much of an advantage to
players with newer or higher-end systems.
Not at this time, no.
There are currently plans for one expansion and two add-on packs:
We have not announced any current plans for StarCraft II. We are all
very close to the worlds and characters we created in the original game and the
expansion set and while we do intend to revisit that universe, we have no plans
to do so at this time.
